Lake District – Castlerigg, Blencathra & Derwentwater

Start and finish in Keswick from 6am to approx 6pm. Maximum walking distance for the day should be between 8 and 10 miles, with individual segments unlikely to exceed 2 miles over varied terrain and with some ascents. Lunch is included but bring your own snacks and drinks.

As with all photographic forays into the Lake District, this workshop’s precise itinerary may be determined by prevailing weather conditions on the day. The day begins with sunrise shots of Castlerigg stone circle, followed by the first in a series of portraits we will be making of Blencathra, showing how its character and appearance can be manipulated through the use of different lighting, lenses and camera angles. We will also be adopting the same creative approach to photographing Derwentwater and other familiar and not so well known landscape features in the area.
